What to look for in a Wedding Caterer

Price and availability get you a shortlist. These five qualities tell you who's actually worth booking.

Track Record

Experience shows under pressure. Ask to see reviews and speak to recent clients, a caterer who's handled a wide range of weddings will have a plan for whatever the day throws at them. Jeeves Catering has a track record going back 30+ years,

Willingness to Adapt

Your wedding should taste like your story, not a template. Look for a caterer who'll build a menu around dishes that matter to you, rather than steering you toward whatever's easiest for their kitchen. Whilst we have a range of menu options, we are willing to provide whatever (within reason) you like.

Range on the Menu

A strong caterer offers real variety: elegant canapés, sharing platters, relaxed food stations, whatever suits your day, not a single fixed style dressed up differently for every wedding.

A Proper Tasting

Before you commit, you should be able to taste the food, adjust it, and know exactly what's arriving on the day. If a caterer won't offer this, that's worth noting. We offer a tasting for all our wedding clients.

Communication

You'll be in touch with your caterer more than almost any other supplier in the run-up to your wedding. Look for a team that replies quickly, listens to changes, and takes the lead on the practical details rather than waiting to be asked.

Get in touch using on the website or by emailing us at info@jeevescatering.com and we'll talk you through how we handle all five, across Rutland, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
