A quick guide to choosing a Corporate Caterer

Short on time? Five questions to run through before booking catering for your next corporate event.

What's the nature of the event?

A formal client dinner calls for a different service style to a team-building day or an internal training session. Match the catering format, plated, buffet or informal, to the tone of the occasion.

What will your guests expect?

Think about your attendees: dietary needs, cultural considerations, and whether a drinks reception or canapés are appropriate. Ask about allergies and intolerances in advance so the caterer can prepare separately where needed.

Does the venue suit the catering style?

Space and facilities shape what's possible. A caterer familiar with your venue, or willing to visit beforehand, will plan around it properly rather than working it out on the day.

Have they done this before?

Ask about experience with events of a similar size and format, and speak to a past client directly rather than relying on testimonials alone.

Does it fit your budget?

Get a clear breakdown of costs before you commit, so there are no surprises once the invoice arrives.
